Refrigerants

The market for refrigerants is an ever-changing scene. Since the introduction of the Montreal Protocol global agreement in 1987, many of the traditionally used refrigerants have now been phased-out or withdrawn, to be replaced with new Zero ODP (Ozone Depleting Potential) products.

Trithin Products Limited, as forefront suppliers of refrigerants, are well placed to offer a service based on ever changing technical developments in the production and introduction of newer and safer refrigerants.

We are proud of our active role and commitment to a safer, greener environment and our direct involvement in this area of supply leaves us well placed to offer advice to customers seeking to utilise modern technology whilst limiting the effect on their particular application.

Due to the regulations regarding the production of refrigerants we do not produce our own material, but act as distributors on behalf of the world’s major producers. As such we are endorsed and controlled by the European Commission. Most of our products are available in either disposable (13.5kg - 22.7kg) cylinders, or in larger, refillable cylinders. Products available include:

• Dichlorodifluoromethane (CFC-12)
• Monochlorodifluoromethane (HCFC-22)
• 1,1-Dichloro-1-fluoroethane (HCFC-141b)
• Zero ODP replacement products, including:
• R-134a (replaces CFC-12)
• Isceon®* Refrigerant range
